Event Coverage: WagonFest SoCal 2025
The first installment of this year’s Avants WagonFest, which BaT supported as a sponsor, took place on Sunday, May 18. The Southern California gathering brought together a diverse selection of longroofs. The following recap and photos are courtesy of Avants.
May 18—The Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles
WagonFest SoCal at the Petersen Museum was a paradise for longroof enthusiasts, bringing together over 250 of the most stunning wagons. From rare and iconic models to wildly customized builds, it was a showcase that proved wagons are anything but boring.
Longroof lovers geeked out over wagons of all shapes and sizes. Audi fans were treated to an armada of 20+ RS6 Avants, a handful of B5 S4 Avants, and a rare imported RS2 Avant.
The bright yellow Citroen Safari added a touch of French eccentricity, while Japanese longroof aficionados found themselves drawn to the Nissan Stageas and Datsun 510s. Plus, all kinds of awesome Bimmers, Mercedes-Benzes, Subarus, Volvos and more! There were even a few ’70s American land yachts to drool over.
Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire brought out his recently-acquired Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo wearing custom bronze two-piece HRE wheels.
From vintage classics to modern icons, WagonFest SoCal reinforced what every wagon lover already knows—wagon enthusiasts are the best kind of enthusiasts.
A big thank you to the Bring a Trailer community and the awesome team at the Petersen Automotive Museum for their continued support. Wagons rule!
Next up is WagonFest PDX at the Rose Cup Races in Portland on Saturday, July 12, followed by WagonFest Seattle at LeMay America’s Car Museum on Saturday, September 13.
