Chevrolet started teasing us with the idea of a mid-engine Corvette in 1959 with Zora Arkus-Duntov's CERV 1 prototype. 60 years later, it's here! Despite its exotic layout, the C8 is still very much a Corvette. Its Tonawanda-built 6.2-liter LT2 V8 makes 490 horsepower in base trim, and the car can run 11-second quarter-miles off the showroom floor.
