This Willys Jeepster got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1949 Willys-Overland Jeepster was acquired by the current owner in 2012 and is powered by a 134ci Go-Devil inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The truck is finished in black over black alligator and houndstooth patterned upholstery and is equipped with a white convertible top, a top boot, 15″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps, front bumper guards, a bright T-shaped grille bar, a heater, and a split front bench seat. This Jeepster is now offered in Springfield, Missouri, on dealer consignment at no reserve with Georgia registration.

No Reserve: 1949 Willys-Overland Jeepster

The truck has been refinished in black and features a white convertible top, a convertible top boot, front bumper guards, a bright T-shaped grille bar, yellow driving lights, a split front windshield, and side curtains with plastic windows as well as fender steps, wrap-around chrome trim, and dual tail lights. The seller notes that the soft top is difficult to clamp shut, and blemishes in the glass, including a missing corner of the left vent window, are shown below.

The 15″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps and trim rings and are mounted with 6.70-series whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners, and a spare tire is mounted at the rear. The truck was factory equipped with an independent front suspension as well as semi-elliptic rubber-mounted transverse front and conventional rear leaf springs. The rear shocks have been replaced.

The cabin features seating upholstered in black alligator and houndstooth with red trim, and amenities include a split-front bench seat, a heater, front lap belts, a body-color metal dashboard, a lockable glove compartment, and sun visors.

No Reserve: 1949 Willys-Overland Jeepster

The two-spoke steering wheel features a bright horn ring and fronts a non-functioning, centrally mounted instrument panel. The five-digit odometer has stopped at 57,698 miles, and total mileage is unknown. The horn also does not work.

The 134ci Go-Devil inline-four was rated at 63 horsepower and 106 lb-ft of torque when new.

No Reserve: 1949 Willys-Overland Jeepster

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Fluid leaks and rust on the underside are shown in photos below.

The truck does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its Georgia registration.
