This 1954 MG TF is powered by a 1,250cc XPAG inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over red upholstery. Equipment includes a tan soft top, a convertible top boot, 15″ wire wheels, chrome bumpers, running boards, rear-hinged doors, a luggage carrier, fender-mounted mirrors, seat belts, an AM radio, and a folding windshield. The current owner purchased the car in 2024 following long-term ownership in California. This TF is now offered on dealer consignment with a tool kit and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The car is finished in red and is equipped with a replacement tan soft top. Additional features include chrome bumpers as well as a convertible top boot, wind wings, running boards, rear-hinged doors, a luggage carrier, fender-mounted mirrors, and a folding windshield. The headlights and turn signal unit were replaced in 2023. Rust in the windshield cowl as well as blemishes in the paint are highlighted in photos below.

The 15″ wire wheels with knock-off hubs are mounted with 165/80 Nexen tires, and a spare is affixed to the rear. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drums. Work in 2023 included refinishing the wheels and replacing the tires and tubes as well as the brake shoes, cables, hoses, and master cylinder.

The cabin features low-back bucket seats trimmed in red that are complemented by a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels. Interior appointments include seat belts, an AM radio, a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a passenger grab handle, and dual dashboard storage compartments.

The banjo-style steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 105-mph speedometer with an inset clock, a tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage. The five-digit odometer has stopped at 28,661 miles and does not work. Total mileage is unknown.

The 1,250cc XPAG inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors for a factory rating of 57 horsepower. Work in 2023 included rebuilding the carburetors and replacing the fuel pump, coolant hoses, and thermostat.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The floorboards were replaced in 2023, and the seller notes that the gearbox synchronization functions slowly.
