This 1956 Cadillac Series 62 coupe was refurbished at some point prior to the current owner’s 2014 acquisition, and it has been refinished in red with a white roof, while the interior was refreshed with gray leather upholstery with red accents. The car rides on 15″ wire-spoke wheels with an independent front suspension sourced from Scott’s Hot Rods as well as four-wheel disc brakes with front Wilwood calipers. Power is provided by a 365ci V8 linked with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission, and the car is further equipped with power windows, power steering, and a sound system with a JL Audio Bluetooth module linked to trunk-mounted Pioneer subwoofers and amplifiers. This Series 62 coupe is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Arizona title.
The car was refinished in its current combination of red with a white roof under prior ownership, and exterior details include hooded headlights, gold-color badging, chrome bumpers, front bullet-style bumper guards, rear tail fins, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the rear bumper.
A Scott’s Hot Rods independent front suspension and anti-sway bar setup are installed, and the four-wheel disc brakes feature Wilwood front calipers over cross-drilled and slotted discs. Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are mounted with whitewall tires.
The cabin houses bench seats that were reupholstered during the refurbishment in gray leather with red piping and buttons, and the color scheme extends to the dashboard and door panels. The car has power windows, a power adjustable front seat, and audio components include a JL Audio Bluetooth module mounted below the dashboard along with Pioneer subwoofers and amplifiers mounted in the trunk.
The three-spoke steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames a 120-mph horizontal-sweep speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 3,300 miles. The selling dealer notes that the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown. Cracks in the steering wheel are depicted in the gallery below.
The 365ci V8 was factory equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 285 horsepower when new.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
