Fuel-Injected 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe 4-Speed

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe is powered by a fuel-injected replacement 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in red over black vinyl upholstery. Features include 15″ steel wheels with three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps, a push-button AM radio, a stainless steel exhaust system, and concealed headlights. This C2 split-window coupe was purchased by the current owner in 2025 and is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Florida title.
The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Riverside Red (923), and a repaint is said to have been completed in the mid 1980s. Features include flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance.
Steel 15” wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinner-style hubcaps and are mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal whitewall tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an analog clock, a push-button AM radio, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 91k miles, less than 50 of which were added under current ownership.
The replacement 327ci V8 features Rochester mechanical fuel injection and finned aluminum valve covers.
The engine stamp pad is shown above and has a CE prefix, which is associated with factory warranty replacement engines. The engine casting number (3959512) and casting date code (K 8 4) are shown in the photo gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The partial VIN stamping on the transmission is shown in the gallery. A stainless steel exhaust system is fitted.
Decoding the trim tag reveals:
- Style 63 837 – 1963 Corvette coupe
- Body 9574 – St. Louis body number
