This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sports coupe was manufactured at the Oshawa, Ontario, production facility in April 1966 and was assembled with the A51 Sports Equipment Option. The car was refurbished some time ago and is powered by a replacement 396ci V8 mated to a Muncie four-speed manual transmission. It is finished in Tuxedo Black over black vinyl upholstery, and equipment includes a PosiTraction differential, 15″ Rally-style wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, a retro-look stereo, a center console, and front bucket seats. This Malibu SS is now offered in Canada by the seller on behalf of the current owner with correspondence from Vintage Vehicle Services as well as Ontario registration.

The car is finished in Tuxedo Black (A), and equipment includes faux hood vents, quad headlights, chrome bumpers, SS trim and emblems, quarter vent windows, and dual exhaust outlets. 

The 15″ Rally-style steel wheels are mounted with Hercules H/P 4000 tires. The car is equipped with a front and rear coil-spring suspension, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The front bucket seats, rear bench, and door panels are trimmed in black vinyl, and the center console houses an analog clock and a reverse-lockout shifter. A retro-look stereo resides in place of the factory unit, and corrosion is noted on the trunk floor.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge, and aftermarket readouts for oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage are mounted below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 79k miles.

The seller tells us the 396ci V8 is a replacement unit, and it is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and chrome valve covers.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a PosiTraction differential.
