454-Powered 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 4-Speed

This 1966 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was refurbished under previous ownership with the installation of a 454ci V8, a repaint in maroon, and a tan reupholstered interior. Additional equipment includes a four-speed manual transmission, a Positraction differential, 15″ Turbine-style aluminum wheels, side-exit exhaust, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, a cabin heater, an AM/FM radio, chrome bumpers, and retractable headlights. The selling dealer acquired the car on BaT in January 2025, and subsequent work is said to have included paint correction work and undercarriage service. This C2 is now offered in California with a clean Tennessee title.
The fiberglass body was finished at the factory in Milano Maroon (988), and a repaint is said to have been completed in the mid-1990s. Features include flip-up headlights, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, a side-exit exhaust system, and a retractable antenna. Close-up exterior photos are shown in the gallery.
The 15″ Turbine-style aluminum wheels feature knock-off spinners and are mounted with 215/70 Firestone tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin features two bucket seats reupholstered in tan vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and replacement carpets. Amenities include a heater, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 454ci V8 was installed under previous ownership, reportedly before 1985, and it is said to have been rebuilt in the mid-1990s. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential.
