One-Owner, Supercharged Boss 302-Powered 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback 4-Speed

This 1966 Ford Mustang fastback was purchased in 1965 by the owner’s father, Air Force Brigadier General Horace D. Aynesworth, and then driven from Dearborn to the Pentagon to be given to the owner as a Christmas gift. In 1997 it was relocated to Arizona, and shortly thereafter the owner rebuilt it as a track-capable street car. Highlighting the build is a Boss 302ci V8 topped by a 6-71 supercharger, two Holley four-barrel carburetors, and Edelbrock Performer cylinder heads, and it is linked to a Toploader four-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok differential with 3.70 gears. The body was modified with fiberglass flares, an R-style front end, a side-fill fuel tank with a Le Mans-style filler, and Corvette red paintwork, and the car rides on a modified suspension with Koni shocks, upgraded springs, and Alston subframe connectors along with SSBC four-wheel disc brakes and 17″ American Racing wheels. Scheel bucket seats, aluminum door panels, and a Hurst shifter were fitted inside along with a roll bar and polycarbonate windows. This modified Mustang was listed on BaT in May 2025 and is now offered again on dealer consignment with a clean Arizona title in the name of the owner’s living trust.
