This Burnt Amber 1967 Ford Mustang convertible was ordered with a 390ci V8, a Cruise-o-Matic transmission, Parchment upholstery, air conditioning, and power steering and front discs. The car is spent time with owners in California before it was acquired by the seller c. 2006. Between 2009 and 2024 it was overhauled and customized; its engine was rebuilt to displace 434ci by FE Specialties in California, the C6 automatic was rebuilt, the interior was redone, and the top was replaced. The car has been modified with a trio of Holley carburetors, FPA long-tube headers and a custom exhaust system, MSD ignition, an aluminum radiator, a TCI torque converter, a shift kit, styled-steel wheels, a custom sound system, and more as described below. This Mustang convertible is now offered with a Deluxe Marti Report, spare parts, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car was ordered in Burnt Amber (V) with a white soft top, rocker moldings, and tinted glass. The top was replaced with black canvas in May 2016, and amber LEDs have been added along with grille lights. The seller notes damage in the lower corner of the right headlight bucket, scratches on the windshield, and paint damage on the leading edge of the right-side truck lid.
The seller added 14″ and 15″ styled-steel wheels with staggered BFGoodrich tires. The car was specified with power steering and front discs, and the seller notes upgraded rear drums, a chrome master cylinder, and an adjustable proportioning valve have been added along with an export brace, a stainless-steel Monte Carlo bar, and chrome shock retainers.
The interior was redone in 2016, and it has Parchment upholstery, an integrated center armrest, and a wood-rimmed wheel mounted on a tilt column. The air conditioning system does not work, and the seller notes the heater core and evaporator have been replaced.
The AM/FM stereo is augmented by an 8-track player and a four-speaker sound system with a graphic equalizer. AutoMeter gauges are mounted below with readouts for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and transmission temperature. The seller has added ~16k of the ~27k miles on the odometer, though the mileage is not accurate and total chassis mileage is unknown.
The seller tells us the 390ci V8 was rebuilt to displace 434ci by FE Specialties in California, with ported heads and a balanced rotating assembly. It is topped by three Holley 2300 carburetors with a chrome-plated intake manifold and polished aluminum air cleaners, and MSD ignition, a Tuff Stuff 100-amp alternator, an Edelbrock water pump, and an aluminum radiator.
The FPA long-tube headers are linked to a dual 3″ stainless-steel exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers.
The C6 automatic was rebuilt in 2024 according to the seller, who notes a shift kit, TCI torque converter, and B&M pan were utilized.
The Deluxe Marti report denotes equipment and specifications.
The seller tells us a collection of replacement parts, removed components, and the steel wheels with covers are included.
