This 1967 Porsche 911 coupe has reportedly remained registered in California since new and was acquired by the seller in 2015. It is powered by an air-cooled 2.7L flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and it is finished in red over black vinyl upholstery. Additional details include a Golde electric sunroof, 15″ Fuchs-style wheels, a left side mirror, chrome bumperettes, H4 headlights, fixed-back GTS Classic seats, Bilstein dampers, RS-specification pistons, and a Tarett Engineering front sway bar. This 911 short-wheelbase coupe was previously offered on BaT in March 2023 and is now offered again with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records, a tool roll, manufacturer’s literature, and a California title in the seller’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Polo Red (6602) and received a repaint in 2014. Exterior details include a Golde electric sunroof, a chrome left side mirror, Hella H4 headlights, gold decklid badging, and chrome bumperettes with black impact strips. Sekurit etchings can be seen in close-up photographs of the glass in the gallery below, while paint meter readings are viewable in the previous auction gallery.
Fuchs-style 15″ wheels are mounted with 205/50 Yokohama Neova AD08R tires, and a full-size spare wheel and tire are stored in the front trunk. The car rides on a lowered and corner-balanced suspension with a Tarett Engineering 25mm front sway bar, Bilstein dampers, and later-model Turbo-specification tie rods. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with stainless steel lines and refurbished front calipers.
Inside, a pair of fixed-back GTS Classic sport seats trimmed in black vinyl upholstery have been installed, and they are joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. The car is said to be equipped with a WEVO shifter, and additional appointments include a locking glove compartment, a fire extinguisher, wind-up windows, lap belts, and brushed aluminum dashboard trim. The seller reports the pedal box was rebuilt and adds that a set of black Coco mats are included in the sale.
The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation, including a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 9k of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement air-cooled 2.7L flat-six was installed under previous ownership. It utilizes a timeserted 1974 engine case that has reportedly been fitted with RS-specification pistons and cylinders, Dilavar head studs, a high-volume oil pump, and a pressure-fed timing chain kit. The seller reports that the fuel injection system was serviced in 2021. Dynamometer results are viewable in the previous auction gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Type 901 five-speed manual transaxle that was overhauled by S-CAR-GO of San Rafael, California, in 2018.
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists identification numbers and optional equipment.
The California title is listed as a duplicate, and a portion of the photos in the gallery were taken in 2023.
