This Meyers Manx was purchased out of Alaska by the previous owner and subsequently relocated to Oregon. It was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022 and underwent a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment between 2022 and 2024. Work included refinishing the buggy in Yuma Yellow, installing a ceramic-coated sidewinder exhaust system, replacing exhaust and braking components, adjusting the carburetors, and tuning the engine. The interior was refreshed with replacement vinyl seats and custom carpeting along with a replacement steering wheel, pedals, lights, mirrors, hardware, and body seals. Power is from a 1,835cc flat-four linked to a four-speed manual transaxle. This Manx is offered by the selling dealer in Oregon with a Meyers Manx Certificate of Authenticity and an Alaska title listing the vehicle as a 1968 Volkswagen.
During the refurbishment, the body was removed from the frame and repainted in Yuma Yellow, at which time the front bumper was powder-coated and re-installed. The exterior lights, license plate bracket and light housing, side mirrors, mounting hardware, and body seals were replaced.
The 15″ American Racing wheels are fitted with General Grabber A/T tires measuring 205/75 front and 265/70 rear. Braking is provided by drums at each corner. The tires were replaced and the braking system was overhauled with a new master cylinder and rebuild kit under current ownership.
The selling dealer notes the floors were refinished, the wiper motor was rebuilt, and the seats, carpets, pedals, and seat belts were replaced during the aforementioned refurbishment. The roll bar and windshield were replaced under prior ownership in 2008.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel was installed under current ownership and fronts centrally mounted instrumentation that includes a 90-mph VDO speedometer with an inset fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 70k miles, approximately 100 of which were added since 2022. The fuel gauge does not work and the speedometer bounces and not accurate. The selling dealer adds that the horn has been replaced and the turn signal stalk and wiring have been repaired.
The 1,835cc flat-four and four-speed manual transaxle were installed in 2008. Work under current ownership is said to have included fitting a ceramic-coated sidewinder exhaust system, installing a replacement fuse panel and wiring, and replacing the battery, battery hold down, and secondary clutch cylinder, according to the selling dealer.

The Meyers Manx body tag carries the serial number M3389C022S2. The car is titled to the VW chassis number 118015687, which is consistent with a Beetle produced in 1967.
Photos taken during the build are provided in the gallery.
