This Bultaco Pursang got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1970 Bultaco Pursang was acquired by the seller in 2023 and subsequently underwent a refurbishment that included a repaint in red and silver along with an overhaul of its 244cc two-stroke single. It has been fitted with a Mikuni carburetor and a single-plug Femsa points-type ignition system, and additional equipment includes 21″ front and 18″ rear alloy rims, Betor shocks, a high-mount fender, number plates, and a cross-braced handlebar. This Mk4 Pursang is now offered in Virginia for off-road use only with a timing key, a Bultaco Pursang parts catalog, service records, and a bill of sale.

Metal surfaces were blasted or vapor-honed, and the bike was refinished in red and silver with clear-coat during the refurbishment. The Bultaco badges have been replaced, and further equipment includes a black vinyl solo seat, green side number plates, a white front number plate, and a cross-braced handlebar.

The 21″ front and 18″ rear wire-spoke wheels wear knobby Cheng Shin tires. Suspension is from a conventional fork as well as dual Betor shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is from drums at both ends.

A chrome cross-braced handlebar is secured to the upper triple tree. The bike did not come with an odometer or other instrumentation, therefore true mileage is unknown.

The 244cc two-stroke single was factory rated at 34 horsepower and was overhauled with a 1mm-oversize piston along with replacement of the seals and kick starter. It has been fitted with a Mikuni carburetor and a single-plug Femsa points-type ignition. The bike has not been started or ridden since the build and has been kept sans fluids. The kickstart lever was replaced in preparation for the sale.
