This 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger hardtop was acquired by the seller in 1998 and refurbished in 2019, which included fitting replacement quarter panels and a dual-scoop hood before a repaint in metallic gray with a black tail stripe. The 360ci V8 is reportedly equipped with a “Purple” camshaft and 340X-specification heads, and power is routed through a three-speed automatic and a high-performance rear axle with 3.91:1 gears. Additional equipment includes an aluminum radiator, a dual exhaust system, 14″ Cragar S/S wheels. The cabin was refreshed with a replacement headliner, carpets, and front bucket seats, and it is further outfitted with aftermarket gauges, a center console, and a Bluetooth head unit. This modified Dart Swinger is now offered with spare parts, records, and a Virginia title in the seller’s name.

The car was fitted with replacement quarter panels and a dual-scoop hood before it was refinished in Static Gray Pearl with a black tail stripe in 2019, according to the seller. Details include grille-mounted front turn signals, re-chromed bumpers, and shaved marker lights.

Cragar S/S 14″ wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. The seller notes the front suspension was overhauled during the refurbishment, per the seller.

The cabin features racing-style front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black upholstery, and the headliner, carpets, insulation, and front seats were replaced during the refurbishment. Amenities include a padded dashboard, a center console, and an aftermarket Bluetooth head unit. The headliner is wrinkled.

The aftermarket steering wheel fronts factory-style instrumentation, and the seller notes various readouts do not work. Four aftermarket gauges are mounted on a panel below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 5k of which were added under current ownership.

The 360ci LA V8 has been bored .040″ over and is equipped with 340X-specification heads, a “Purple” camshaft, and roller lifters, according to the seller. It is also fitted with an Edelbrock intake manifold and valve covers, a March serpentine drive setup, a Champion aluminum radiator, and dual cooling fans.

The seller tells us the replacement TorqueFlite 904 three-speed automatic transmission is equipped with a 3,800-stall-speed torque converter, and that it is linked with and 8 ³⁄_4″ rear axle with a spool, 3.91:1 gears, and 1350 U-joints. The trunk pan and rear subframe supports were replaced, according to the seller. Thermally wrapped manifolds flow to a dual exhaust system with turn-downs ahead of the rear axle. 

The fender tag indicates that the vehicle is a 1972 Dart Swinger two-door hardtop (LH23) that left the factory in Hamtramck, Michigan, equipped with a 225ci slant-six featuring a one-barrel carburetor and a three-speed automatic transmission (D34). The tag also reveals that the car was originally finished in Dark Green Metallic (GF7) over green vinyl bench seating (E2F6).

A removed differential, trim, and emblems are included in the sale.
