This 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55 had its 3.9-liter inline-six replaced and was repainted before it was acquired by its current owner in 1997. It has since been parked in storage, however the selling dealer tells us it will start and move. The truck has a three-speed manual transmission, and it will need hydraulic work at a minimum before it can be driven. This green FJ55 project is offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a clean Indiana title in the owner’s name.

The FJ55’s appearance earned this generation of Land Cruiser the nickname “The Iron Pig.” This one is refinished in green, and body filler was used during its repaint in the 1990s. Rust damage on the body, frame, and undercarriage is pictured in close-up photos shown in the gallery below.

The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with Dean Wildcat EXT Radial LT tires that hold air, and the selling dealer reports the vehicle can move under its own power.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer with a five-digit odometer showing 11k miles, however it is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.

The 3.9-liter inline-six is said to be a remanufactured replacement from Jasper Engines that was installed in 1997. It will start and can run roughly, per the selling dealer. A floor-mounted three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case complete the powertrain.
