This 1973 International Harvester Scout II Traveltop underwent refurbishment work under current ownership that included repainting the exterior in Pearl White, lifting the body, and recovering the seats in brown vinyl upholstery. Power is from a 345ci V8 that sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Additional features include a removable Traveltop hardtop, an LED light bar, 15″ eight-spoke wheels, front disc brakes, aftermarket shocks, black wheel arch flares, and a Grant steering wheel. Acquired by the seller in 2023, this Scout II is now offered in Canada with service records and Alberta registration in the seller’s name.
The truck was repainted in Pearl White during the refurbishment, and the seller notes that rust was repaired and the rear crossmember, floor braces, and lower quarter panels were replaced. Exterior features include a removable Traveltop hardtop, an LED light bar, black wheel arch flares, and front and rear receiver hitches. The rear hatch lock is loose, and the antenna and a windshield wiper are missing.
The 15″ eight-spoke wheels are finished in black and are mounted with 33×12.50” Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires. The body has been lifted, and the truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs, aftermarket shocks, front disc brakes, and rear drum brakes.
The front bucket seats and rear bench were fitted with diamond-stitched brown vinyl upholstery during the refurbishment, and the carpets and dash pad were replaced. Features include a wood center console lid, lap belts, and padded door panels.
The four-spoke Grant steering wheel fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level. Additional readouts are located in the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 58k miles, approximately 1,800 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 345ci V8 was factory rated at 197 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque and is said to have been rebuilt under previous ownership. It is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor, an electric fan, and an aluminum radiator. The seller states that the vehicle needs to be gone through mechanically.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
The vehicle does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its Alberta registration.
