This 1974 Ford F-250 Ranger XLT 4×4 pickup was delivered new to McCollum Ford Sales in Dishman, Washington, and was refinished in maroon over red vinyl upholstery under previous ownership. It was acquired by the seller in 2024, and subsequent work involved installing a replacement 390ci V8 as well as replacing the steering wheel, instrument cluster bezel, door strikers, carpets, and various power steering components. Shifting is through a three-speed automatic transmission linked to a divorced full-time dual-range transfer case, and the truck rides on 16″ steel wheels. Additional equipment includes a spray-on bedliner, a sliding rear window, cab clearance lights, spotlights, side steps, faux interior woodgrain trim, and a Philco AM radio. This F-250 Ranger XLT is now offered by the seller on behalf of its current owner with a Deluxe Marti Report, engine replacement invoices, and a clean California title in the current owner’s name.
The truck is finished in maroon and was repainted under previous ownership at an unknown time. The Styleside bed features a spray-on liner and bedside tie-downs, and further details include a sliding rear window, A-pillar-mounted spotlights, cab clearance lights, side steps, chrome-finished bumpers, and bright bodyside moldings with vinyl inserts. The windshield and seal were replaced in January 2024.
Silver-finished 16″ steel wheels were mounted with 235/85 Cooper Discoverer S/T tires in January 2024. Braking is provided by front and rear drums. The high-pressure power steering hoses were replaced and the fluid was changed in 2025.
The bench seat is trimmed in red vinyl and joined by a color-coordinated dash pad and door panels. The floorboards and turn signal switch were replaced under previous ownership, and the instrument cluster bezel, door strikers, and carpets were replaced under current ownership. A heater, a push-button Philco AM radio, and faux woodgrain trim are further elements.
The replacement two-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery charge status, and fuel level. The horn does not work. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 3k of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The factory 360ci V8 was removed and replaced with a 390ci V8 that was overhauled before being installed in May 2024. Work included replacing the water pump, thermostat, drive belt, oil pump, oil pump drive shaft, camshaft, bearings, pistons, rings, valve components, timing set, and gaskets.
Power is routed to all four wheels via a three-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission and a divorced full-time dual-range transfer case. Rust has perforated the front-left body mount.
The Deluxe Marti Report shows initial delivery to McCollum Ford Sales in Dishman, Washington, and lists factory colors, equipment, production statistics, and a build date of June 12, 1974.
