This 1976 Ford F-250 is a Custom 4×4 pickup that was modified and refurbished under previous ownership. Work included repairing various metal panels, repainting the body in two-tone Indio Tan and Copper Metallic, retrimming the interior in tan knit vinyl, and installing an overhauled 390ci V8. Shifting is through a four-speed manual transmission linked to a divorced dual-range transfer case and a limited-slip rear differential, and the truck rides on 16″ Pro Comp alloy wheels. Additional equipment includes manually locking front hubs, power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, a sliding rear window, a digital radio, a four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and long-tube exhaust headers. Acquired by the seller on BaT in August 2023, this F-250 Custom is now offered at no reserve with a Deluxe Marti report, refurbishment photos, and a clean Oklahoma title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
Finished from the factory in two-tone Indio Tan and Copper Metallic, the truck was disassembled before being repainted in February 2023 under previous ownership. Details include a Styleside bed, a sliding rear window, bright bodyside trim, chrome-finished bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets.
Polished 16″ Pro Comp alloy wheels are mounted with 315/75 Rolling Big Power Repulsor M/T RX tires. The truck is equipped with power steering and manually locking front hubs, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The bench seat was retrimmed in tan knit vinyl sourced from SMS Auto Fabrics in Canby, Oregon, which is joined by a brown upper dash pad, headliner, sun visors, and door panels. Vinyl flooring lines the footwells, and appointments include lap seatbelts, a push-button digital radio, and a cab heater.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery charge status, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles, approximately 50 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 390ci V8 was overhauled before being fitted under previous ownership. It is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, long-tube exhaust headers, and a chrome air cleaner housing and valve covers.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, a divorced NP205 dual-range transfer case, and a Dana 60 limited-slip rear differential. A dual exhaust system with Blue Streak mufflers has been installed.
Photos taken during various stages of the refurbishment are viewable in the gallery below.
The Deluxe Marti Report lists initial delivery to Mock Ford Sales in Grants Pass, Oregon, along with factory equipment, colors, production statistics, and a build date of October 20, 1975.
