This 1979 Ford Bronco Custom was the subject of a refurbishment that involved repainting the body in black, applying replacement Free Wheelin’ Chromatic-style graphics, and installing a 7.3-liter Godzilla crate V8, a six-speed F960G automatic transmission, and a suspension lift kit. Additional features include a dual-range transfer case, a limited-slip rear differential, a black-finished removable fiberglass hardtop, a power-operated rear window, chrome bumpers, front disc brakes, and 15″ wheels with 33″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires as well as red vinyl and patterned cloth upholstery, front captain’s chairs, a Vintage Air air-conditioning system, a Tuffy lockable center console, an Alpine stereo head unit with Bluetooth connectivity, and a custom-fabricated audio box mounted in the cargo area. The truck was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024, and work in May 2025 involved re-wiring the under-dash wiring harness and servicing the speedometer. This Bronco is offered with service records and a clean Arizona title.
The truck left the factory finished in Raven Black (A), and it was repainted in black with Free Wheelin’ Chromatic-style graphics as part of the refurbishment. Additional exterior details include a black-finished removable fiberglass hardtop, a power-operated rear window, and chrome bumpers. Paintless dent removal was performed on the fenders, doors, and quarter panels in May 2025.
Five-slot 15″ wheels are mounted with 33×12.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. The truck rides on a lifted suspension, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front captain’s chairs and the folding rear bench seat are trimmed in red vinyl with patterned cloth inserts, and an OBD-II diagnostic port is mounted beneath the color-coordinated dashboard. The cabin also houses a Tuffy lockable center console, an Alpine stereo head unit with Bluetooth connectivity, and a custom-fabricated audio box mounted in the cargo area. The door panels were refinished to match the seat upholstery in May 2025, at which time the Vintage Air air-conditioning system received a refrigerant recharge, the headlight switch was repaired, and the windshield wiper knob was reconnected.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts the 85-mph speedometer, which is flanked by warning lights as well as gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership. The speedometer was serviced and the under-dash wiring harness was re-wired in May 2025.
The 7.3-liter Godzilla crate V8 was installed in 2024, and it is equipped with an open-element air intake in addition to Holley electronic fuel injection. The selling dealer notes that the truck also features a custom-fabricated radiator and exhaust system.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a six-speed F960G automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a limited-slip rear differential.
