This 1980 International Harvester Scout II Traveler was acquired in 2016 by the seller, who tells us its 345ci V8 was refreshed in 2021. The truck has an open-air setup with removed doors and a bikini top, and it is refinished in blue over a black interior with Ford Explorer seats. A replacement three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, lifted suspension, 15″ wheels, 33″ tires, manually locking front hubs, a glasspack muffler, and a Bluetooth-capable stereo are additional elements. This Scout II Traveler is offered with a line-setting ticket, owner’s and repair manuals, partial service records, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
Exterior details include square headlights, black bumpers, a two-row eggcrate grille, and a rear receiver hitch. The windshield wiper motor has been removed.
The truck rides on a 118″ wheelbase, and its 15″ wheels are mounted with 33×12.50″ Free Passer CT404 M/T tires. The seller reports the suspension has a 4–6″ Rough Country lift kit.
The interior has front bucket seats and a rear bench sourced from a Ford Explorer, and a black roll bar is fitted on top of diamond-plate floor panels. A weather-resistant marine stereo with Bluetooth connectivity is also fitted, per the seller.
The speedometer is not working, and the odometer stopped before truck was acquired in 2016 by the seller, who reports driving ~15k miles under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 345ci V8 was factory rated at 163 horsepower and 292 lb-ft of torque. The seller reports it starts in Neutral, and it was disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt in 2021.
A reconditioned three-speed automatic with a rebuilt torque converter was installed in 2004. It sends power to the rear or all four wheels through a dual-range transfer case.
The line-setting ticket lists factory specifications along with shipping from the factory to Miami Springs, Florida. Additional items that accompany the vehicle are shown at the end of the gallery below.
