This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition was purchased in July 2015 by the seller, who has since added approximately 2k of the 63k miles shown. The car is powered by a 350ci L83 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Silver Beige Metallic over multi-tone silver beige leather. Equipment includes a Positraction differential, 15″ turbine-style aluminum wheels, removable glass roof panels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a cassette stereo, and power windows. This special-edition C3 Corvette is now offered at no reserve with the owner’s manual, spare parts, and a clean New Jersey title in the seller’s name.
The Collector Edition was the first Corvette offered with a hinged glass rear hatch rather than a fixed rear window. This example features fiberglass bodywork finished in Silver Beige Metallic (59L) with fading shadow treatment on the hood, fenders, and doors. Exterior equipment includes removable glass T-top roof panels, pop-up headlights, side marker lights, fender air vents, and quad tail lights. The replacement antenna does not extend or retract, and the removed factory antenna accompanies the car. The Carfax report lists accident damage in an April 1985 entry and damage in June 2015 and December 2015 entries. The seller notes that fiberglass repair was performed on the left fender, and the car was refinished under their ownership. Detailed photos of the exterior, including imperfections, are provided in the gallery.
The 15″ turbine-style aluminum wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel power-assisted discs.
The bucket seats are trimmed in multi-tone silver beige leather, which extends to the door panels. Interior amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a cassette stereo, and power windows. The air conditioning system does not work. The non-working front speakers have been removed, and the seller notes that although the rear speakers are functional, the sale includes a set of uninstalled new front and rear speakers.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are located in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 63k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 350ci L83 V8 features Cross-Fire Injection and was factory-rated at 200 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the mufflers require replacement and that it last received an oil change in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction differential. A transmission fluid leak is noted, and photos detailing corrosion on various underside components are provided in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage.
