This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Turbo wagon was fitted with a 1994-look hood, trim, and lighting following its purchase by the current owner circa 2017, and it has subsequently been driven approximately 51k miles. The car is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Champagne Metallic over Palomino MB-Tex. Equipment includes 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels, a sunroof, roof rails, power-adjustable front seats, and automatic climate control. This 1995-look S124 300TD Turbo is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve in Washington State with a damage-free Carfax report and a South Carolina title the owner’s name.
The car was finished from the factory in Champagne Metallic (473), and a conversion to 1994-look bodywork was carried out circa 2017. The hood, headlamps, door trim, rocker trim, and rear bumper were replaced, and the later-style parts were refinished to match. Imperfections include dings and dents, and paintwork has been performed to the left-front door.
The 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels are mounted with Reputation tires. The S124 wagon was factory equipped with a hydropneumatic self-leveling rear suspension. Braking is handled by ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes with ABS.
The cabin features seating upholstered in Palomino MB-Tex along with wood trim a contrasting upper dashboard. Interior appointments include power-adjustable front seats and automatic climate control. The car is equipped with a cassette stereo and a cruise control system, although these do not work.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as an analog clock and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 253k miles, approximately 51k of which were added under current ownership, although the Carfax report indicates that a “Not Actual Miles”-branded title was issued in California in March 2007. Total mileage is unknown.
The turbocharged 3.0-liter OM603 diesel inline-six was factory rated at 123 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage. It also lists the aforementioned “Not Actual Miles”-branded title.
