1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe G50

This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe was sold on BaT in July 2022, and subsequent work included mounting Continental tires and installing a MOMO steering wheel and a replacement shift knob. Power is provided by a 3.2-liter flat-six that has been fitted with an ECU chip and an aftermarket exhaust system, and shifting is through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle. Finished in Guards Red over black leather, the car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats, and an Alpine CD stereo. The car was acquired by the seller in 2022 and now shows 125k miles. This Carrera coupe is offered with manufacturer’s literature, a spare deck lid, steering wheel, and shift knob as well as a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Guards Red and is equipped with a rear spoiler, integrated fog lights, a rear window wiper, and heated power-adjustable side mirrors. The left door was repainted following an accident under previous ownership. The seller notes the headlight high-beam switch is stuck in the on position, and the sunroof, windshield washer pump, and reverse lights are nonfunctional. Nicks are noted in the paint, and close-up photos of blemishes along the body can be seen in the gallery.
The 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels were mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tires in 2022. The car is equipped with optional sport shocks, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs. Strut tower braces are fitted under the front hood.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats upholstered in black leather along with color-coordinated door panels. Amenities include an alarm system, cruise control, an Alpine CD stereo, an Escort radar detector, and power windows and door locks. The seller states the front seat belts and shift knob were replaced under current ownership. A seat upholstery tear and a dashboard crack are noted, and the air conditioning system is inoperative.
The replacement MOMO steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer, a Quarz-Zeit clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 125k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The air-cooled 3.2L M930/25 flat-six was reportedly rebuilt under previous ownership and features Bosch Motronic engine management, a 911Chips performance chip, and an aftermarket exhaust system. The seller reports the oil pressure sending unit was replaced in November 2023, and an oil change was performed in May 2025. The car last passed a California emissions test in August 2024. A start-up video can be viewed below.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Rust is visible on underbody components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.
