This 1989 Land Rover 90 is a European-market left-hand-drive that was initially delivered in France, and it was repainted in blue before being imported to the US in August 2021. The truck was previously listed on BaT in November 2022 and offered again on BaT in October 2023, and work under previous ownership is said to have included replacing braking and suspension components as well as the center storage console, roll cage, front seats, and axles. Power is from a 2.5-liter 19J turbodiesel inline-four linked to a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential, and additional equipment includes a Defender NAS-style rear bumper, LED lighting, 16″ steel wheels, inward-facing rear jump seats, an aftermarket steering wheel, and a touchscreen stereo head unit. This Defender 90 is offered with a BMIHT certificate, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title in the name of the seller’s family trust that describes the truck as a 1990 model.
The truck was repainted in blue under previous ownership, and equipment includes LED lighting, body-color mirror housings, and a Defender NAS-style rear bumper. A replacement Exmoor Trim soft top was installed in June 2023. Paint chips are noted on the hood.
Black-finished 16″ steel wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires, and a spare is mounted on the swing-out rear door. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The truck is equipped with a Bilstein steering stabilizer and shock absorbers, and various braking and suspension components were reportedly replaced in June 2023.
The heated front bucket seats are upholstered in gray Exmoor Trim vinyl and cloth. Appointments include a heater, an aftermarket center storage console, a replacement roll cage, billet shift knobs, inward-facing bench seats, and a touchscreen stereo head unit.
The aftermarket steering wheel frames a 150-km/h speedometer and supplementary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 199k kilometers (~124k miles), approximately 80 of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.5-liter 19J turbodiesel inline-four is equipped with a Garrett turbocharger. The fuel sending unit was reportedly replaced in 2022. Corrosion is visible on engine components.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. The axles were reportedly replaced in 2023.
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory equipment, colors, serial numbers, and production dates.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
The Ohio title describes the truck as a 1990 model.
