This 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 is a left-hand-drive coupe that was ordered without a sunroof and was sold new in Japan, where it remained until it was exported to Belgium in 2014, and it was imported to the US and acquired by the current owner in 2021. Now showing 115k kilometers (~72k miles), the car has been repainted in gray over a black interior. Power is provided by a 3.6-liter M64/01 flat-six that drives all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, European-specification bumper covers, H4 headlights, Bilstein coilovers, 17″ Cup 1 wheels, air conditioning, power-adjustable front seats, and a Becker DTM CD stereo. The valves were adjusted in December 2021, at which time the valve cover gaskets, timing cover gaskets, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and engine mounts were replaced, and the camshaft was replaced in January 2024. This RoW 964 C4 coupe is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a Porsche Geburtsurkunde certificate, factory literature, service records, a body-color duck-tail spoiler, two spare sets of wheels, an inspection report, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the owner’s name.
The car left the factory finished in Slate Gray Metallic (23F) and has been repainted. Exterior details include a speed-activated rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, a heckblende, European-specification bumper covers, H4 headlights, integrated fog lights, and headlight washers.
The 17″ Cup 1 wheels were installed and mounted with 205/50 front and 225/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires in January 2024 by Porsche North Houston in Texas, and a replacement steering column thrust ring bushing was fitted at that time. The car rides on Bilstein coilovers, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with ventilated rotors. The front anti-roll bar end links rub the front axles, the trailing arm bushings are leaking grease, and one of the right-front CV axle boots is torn.
The power-adjustable front bucket seats and the rear seats are trimmed in black and complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, a Becker DTM CD stereo, and power windows. The seller reports that the air conditioning refrigerant was recharged in May 2025. The car is not equipped with airbags for the driver or the passenger.
The leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 300-km/h speedometer, a quartz clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 115k kilometers (~72k miles), approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The air-cooled 3.6L M64/01 flat-six was factory rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. Work in December 2021 included adjusting the valves, changing the spark plugs and valve cover gaskets, and replacing the timing cover gasket set, distributor cap and rotor, and engine mounts as well as the intermediate shaft O-ring. The alternator and the camshaft were replaced in January 2024, at which time the engine was re-timed and fitted with replacement seals. A May 2025 inspection report notes that the cylinder jug surrounds are cracking, and the associated seals are leaking oil.
Power is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle, and the Carrera 4 features a computer-controlled limited-slip differential. The clutch and the flywheel were replaced in January 2024. A leak is noted from the front differential output seal.
The German-language Porsche Geburtsurkunde (“birth certificate”) lists a production date of September 27, 1990, along with the original colors and the engine and transmission types. Factory literature, service records, two sets of spare wheels, and a May 2025 inspection report will also accompany the car.
The uninstalled duck-tail spoiler was painted to match the car in September 2022, and it is included in the sale.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
