This 1998 BMW Z3 1.9 was initially delivered to Flow BMW in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and it was purchased on BaT in June 2023 by the seller, who has since added approximately 12k of its 49k miles. Finished in Bright Red over black Oregon leather, the car is powered by a 1.9-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 17″ Style 42 wheels, a black convertible soft top, a body-color removable hardtop, a CD stereo, cruise control, an onboard computer, and air conditioning. Work performed under current ownership has included installing Bilstein dampers and replacing the tires, drive belts, drive belt tensioner, and idler pulley. This Z3 is offered at no reserve with spare parts, manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, a hardtop stand, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Bright Red (314) and features a power-operated black convertible soft top, a removable hardtop, a tonneau cover, fog lights, flared wheel arches, front fender vents, and a single exhaust outlet. The hood roundel has been replaced, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

The 17″ Style 42 alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires that have 2024 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated front rotors. Bilstein dampers were added and the springs were replaced under current ownership.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black Oregon leather, and matching leather extends to the center console and door panel inserts. Burl wood trim adorns the center stack, console, and shifter, and amenities include dual roll hoops, a CD stereo, cruise control, an onboard computer, and air conditioning. Replacement units have been installed in place of the Harman Kardon rear speakers.

The wood- and leather-rimmed steering wheel frames a 155-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,200-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 49k miles, approximately 12k of which were added during current ownership.

The 1.9-liter M44B19 inline-four was factory rated at 138 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. The drive belts, belt tensioner, and idler pulley were replaced under current ownership. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The transmission fluid and differential fluid were changed under current ownership.
