This 2002 BMW 325i Sport Wagon was purchased in 2023 by the seller, who commissioned the installation of a 2002 BMW M3-sourced powertrain. The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was refreshed prior to installation, with work that included installing ACL rod bearings and a Beisan Systems VANOS kit, overhauling the cooling system, and replacing belts and various accessories. The six-speed manual transmission features an LuK clutch and flywheel, and the car is also equipped with an M3 limited-slip differential and rear subframe. Additional details of the build include 17″ BBS RX204 wheels, a Turner Motorsport Double Shear Selector Rod, a rearview camera, and a touchscreen head unit. Following the build, the car passed a referee inspection with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. Finished in Orient Blue Metallic over Beige Montana leather, this M3-powered Sport Wagon has 138k chassis miles and is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Orient Blue Metallic (317) and features an M-Tech II-style front bumper cover, a sunroof, fog lights and daytime running lights with yellow lenses, a roof spoiler, roof rails, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 17″ BBS RX204 wheels are mounted with 225/45 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with all-season traction control. The pulley, cooling coil, and return lines for the power-steering system have been replaced.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats upholstered in Beige Montana leather as well as a color-matching lower dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. A shifter from an E60-generation 545i has been installed along with a Turner Motorsport Double Shear Selector Rod (DSSR). Interior amenities include an AVIN Avant 4 touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as a rearview camera, driver-seat position memory settings, automatic climate control, and an M3-sourced steering wheel.
The M3-sourced instrument cluster includes a digital odometer that shows 138k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was installed in January 2025, and it was sourced from a 2002 M3. ACL rod bearings have been installed along with a Beisan Systems VANOS kit, upper chain guide, oil pump disc, and exhaust hub. The following parts were recently replaced:
- Radiator
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Expansion tank
- Fuel pump and fuel filter
- Fan blade
- Spark plugs and ignition coils
- Engine mounts
- Various drive belts, gaskets, pulleys, tensioners, and hoses
A label from the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) is shown above, and the car passed its referee inspection on May 23, 2025.
The six-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, and rear-end subframe were sourced from the same donor car, and a LuK clutch and flywheel have been installed along with a ZHP muffler. The center support bearing, giubo flex disc, shifter arm bushings, and transmission mounts have been replaced under current ownership.
Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, aftermarket brake calipers, Reboot Engineering and RallyRoad brake caliper brackets, and RallyRoad stainless-steel brake lines are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.
