This 2002 BMW M3 coupe is finished in Phoenix Yellow Metallic over black Nappa leather upholstery, and it is powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six that was overhauled in 2020 with CP-Carillo forged pistons and replacement bearings, hardware, gaskets, and seals. The car was specified new with the Luxury Package and is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, 18″ M double-spoke wheels, a power sunroof, xenon headlights, power-adjustable front sport seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, and automatic climate control. Modifications include coilover suspension, a carbon-fiber rear diffuser, and a Kenwood CD stereo. Acquired by the current owner in 2021, this E46 M3 has 148k miles and is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with an engine invoice, a Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Phoenix Yellow Metallic (445) and is equipped with Shadowline trim as well as xenon headlights, fog lights, body-color front corner reflectors, a glass sunroof, a trunk lid spoiler, a carbon-fiber rear diffuser, and quad exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists damage in a May 2004 entry, though no additional information is available. The selling dealer tells us that the bumper covers and the left side of the car were refinished to address faded paint. Additional photos of the paint and trim condition are viewable in the gallery below.
The 18″ M double-spoke Style 67 wheels are mounted with staggered-width Bridgestone Turanza front & Nexen N’Fera rear tires. The coilover suspension components have been installed, and the selling dealer notes that the anti-sway bar end links were recently replaced. The tire pressure monitoring sensors have been removed, the TPMS warning light is illuminated, and imperfections are visible on the wheels.
The power-adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather, and Titan Shadow trim accents the dashboard and door panels. Interior amenities include position memory for the driver’s seat, adjustable lumbar support, cruise control, a Kenwood CD stereo, Harman Kardon audio, and automatic climate control. The selling dealer tells us a replacement right window motor and regulator have been installed. Wear is visible on portions of the interior trim, the left-inner door seal trim is loose, and the corresponding piece is missing from the right door opening.
A multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel features M-color stitching and frames a 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline along with supplementary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 148k miles, approximately 8k of which were added under current ownership. The oil temperature gauge is inoperative, and the oil warning light remains illuminated for a few seconds after the car is started, per the selling dealer.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was overhauled under previous ownership in 2020 following connecting rod bearing failure, and work included regrinding the crankshaft, machining the block, and installing CP-Carillo forged pistons, ACL rod bearings, King main bearings, ARP rod bolts, three of the connecting rods, and replacement gaskets and seals. Additional replacement components are listed on an invoice in the gallery. Oil seepage is noted from the valve cover gasket. The car most recently passed a California emissions test in December 2024.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The rear subframe mounts have been reinforced.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage entry.
