This 2002 Ford Focus SVT spent time in Colorado before it was acquired by the seller and their father in 2007. Now showing 70k miles, the car is finished in CD Silver over black leather and red cloth. Power is provided by a 2.0-liter Zetec DOHC inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes a power sunroof, a rear window wiper, SVT-revised bumper covers, fog lights, replacement headlight assemblies, anti-lock disc brakes, revised suspension tuning, 17″ alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, heated front bucket seats, and a factory CD stereo. This Focus SVT is offered at no reserve with repair manuals, service records, a set of Ford Racing wheels wearing Dunlop tires, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The three-door hatchback body is finished in CD Silver. Exterior details include a power sunroof, a rear window wiper, SVT-revised bumper covers, front and rear spoilers, and fog lights. The car was fitted with TYC headlight assemblies in 2011, and the seller tells us that vinyl racing stripes were recently removed. Notes blemishes include dents and scratches on the left-front fender, left B-pillar, rear bumper cover as well as on the passenger-side front bumper cover above the fog light. The seller states that there are two chips in the replacement windshield, which was installed in April 2014.

Silver-finished 17″ alloy wheels were mounted with 215/45 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 tires in December 2009. The car rides on MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link setup out back, and SVT suspension tuning included spring-rate increases of 10% up front and 20% out back, increased low-speed rebound damping and decreased high-speed rebound damping, and a 21mm rear anti-roll bar. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with ventilated front rotors, and the brake pads were replaced in 2022.

The heated front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are trimmed in black leather with red cloth inserts, and they are accompanied by color-coordinated door panels. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, metallic pedal covers, Ford Racing-branded rubberized floor mats, and a factory AM/FM/CD stereo.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts white-dial instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, an SVT-branded tachometer with a 7,250-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Additional gauges are housed above the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 70k miles, approximately 19k of which were added under current ownership.

The Focus SVT-specification 2.0-liter Zetec DOHC inline-four features variable intake camshaft timing, a dual-stage intake manifold, forged steel connecting rods, lightweight aluminum pistons, and a revised exhaust system with four-into-two-into-one tubular headers. Factory-rated output was 170 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque. The car was fitted with an Optima RedTop battery circa 2022, and replacement oxygen sensors were installed in February 2023. Oil seepage is noted near the valve cover gasket. The seller reported that the engine had previously stalled intermittently under air conditioning or braking loads, although after recently cleaning the idle air control valve and performing a re-learn procedure, they note that the idle has improved and is now stable.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The Focus SVT was factory equipped with a dual-mass flywheel.
