This 2006 BMW M5 is powered by a 5.0-liter V10 paired with a seven-speed SMG sequential transmission and has been fitted with RPI exhaust mufflers and tips, RPI induction scoops, and 20” Zito ZS05 wheels. It is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over Portland Brown Merino leather and also has an M Variable differential, a glass sunroof, Park Distance Control, and adaptive xenon headlights. The cabin is outfitted with a premium sound system, Comfort Access keyless entry, and heated front seats. The car was acquired by the current owner in 2023, and service in May 2025 involved replacing the rod bearings and engine mounts in addition to installing Lemfoerder thrust and control arms. This E60 M5 has 47k miles and is now offered in California by the seller on behalf of the owner with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the owner’s LLC.
The M5 features flared fenders and rocker panels as well as revised bumper covers, front fender vents, and quad exhaust outlets when compared to the standard E60. This example is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic (475) and is equipped with a glass sunroof, a decklid spoiler, adaptive bi-xenon headlamps with washers, and front and rear parking sensors. Black kidney grilles have been installed. The rear spoiler has a chip, and the seller notes that paintwork has been performed on the lower parts of the left doors.
The 20” Zito ZS05 wheels are mounted with 255/35 front and 295/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with M Dynamic Mode, and stopping power is from blue-finished calipers over cross-drilled and ventilated discs. Replacement Lemfoerder control arms and thrust arms were installed in May 2025.
The cabin features Portland Brown Merino leather covering the heated and power-adjustable front seats, door panel inserts, and center console, while Olive Ash wood trim accents the dashboard, center console, and doors. Amenities include active front backrests, iDrive with navigation, Comfort Access keyless entry, a premium sound system with digital sound processing (DSP), a six-disc CD changer, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and rear window sunshades.
The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel features tri-color stitching and frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline, and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 47k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.0-liter S85 V10 features a semi-dry-sump lubrication system, individual throttle bodies, and double-VANOS variable valve timing. RPI induction scoops and RPI E60 M5 exhaust mufflers and tips have been installed. The rod bearings were replaced in May 2025. Additional work at that time included replacing the oil pan gasket and engine mounts as well as changing the engine and differential oil.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed SMG single-clutch sequential transmission and an M Variable differential.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
The car most recently passed a California emissions test in June 2018.
