This 2007 Ducati SportClassic GT1000 is finished in Ducati Red and is powered by a 992cc desmodromic L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission. Features include Marelli electronic fuel injection, a high-performance ECU calibration, Termignoni slip-on mufflers, A Marzocchi fork, Brembo triple disc brakes, 17″ wire-spoke wheels, a right-side fog light, bar-end mirrors, and a black vinyl two-up seat. The seller purchased the bike in 2014 and work in 2021 included a timing belt service and replacing the fork seals. This SportClassic GT1000 has 16k miles and is offered at no reserve with service records, manufacturer’s literature, a paddock stand, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The bodywork is finished in Ducati Red over a trellis frame. Features include an LED headlight bulb, a yellow right-side fog light, a stepped two-up seat, a cargo net, Rizoma knurled aluminum rider footpegs, and a side stand. The seller notes a chip in the paint on the fuel tank.
Chrome-finished 17″ wire-spoke wheels are mounted with Pirelli Angel GT tires. Suspension consists of an inverted 43mm Marzocchi fork as well as dual shocks connected to the swingarm. Braking is handled by dual two-piston Brembo calipers fitted over 320mm floating rotors up front and a single-piston Brembo caliper fitted over a single 245mm rotor at the rear. The fork seals were replaced in 2021 and the rear brake lever was replaced in 2022.
The chrome-finished handlebar carries bar-end mirrors, brown leather grips, and two phone mounts. Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 12k-rpm tachometer, and a digital odometer that indicates 16k miles, less than 1k of which were ridden under current ownership. The fuel level sensor does not work.
The air-cooled 992cc L-twin features a belt-driven desmodromic valvetrain, an oil cooler, Marelli electronic fuel injection, a 45mm throttle body, a high-performance engine control module, and a two-into-two exhaust system with stainless-steel Termignoni slip-on mufflers. A timing belt service was performed in 2021. Residue is visible on the front head pipe, the right muffler body is dinged, and blemishes are visible on the left muffler body.
Power is routed to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission and a replacement drive chain that rolls on replacement sprockets.
