This 2022 GMC Sierra is a regular-cab 1500 truck that was modified by Flat Out Autos of Jonesboro, Arkansas, with their Jimmy conversion, and it now has ~900 miles. The build involved disassembling the truck, shortening the frame, opening the cabin to the bed, and installing a roll bar and bench seat behind the front seats. Finished in black with a color-matched bed cap, the truck rides on 22″ Fuel wheels as well as a lifted suspension with Fox BDS-series shocks. Inside, the front seats and rear bench are upholstered in tan leather with white stitching and are accompanied by a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Power is provided by a 5.3-liter EcoTec V8 linked with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and additional equipment includes LED headlights, retractable side steps, a reverse camera, and a receiver hitch. This modified GMC Jimmy conversion is now offered with a clean Arkansas title.
This example is the first Jimmy conversion built by Flat Out Autos, and the truck was displayed at the 2022 SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The conversion involves shortening the frame and bed of a regular-cab truck, opening the cabin to the bed, welding the bed to the cab at the B-pillar, and installing a roll bar as well as a folding bench seat aft of the front seats. The truck is painted in black and wears custom Jimmy badging. The color-matched bed cap is outfitted with tinted glass, and the rear hatch is integrated with the power door locks. LED headlights, red front recovery hooks, a receiver hitch, AMP Research retractable side steps, and a reverse camera are further details.
Bronze split-spoke 22″ Fuel wheels are mounted with 285/55 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, and a non-matching spare is stored below the bed. The truck rides on a lifted suspension with Fox BDS-series shocks, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel antilock disc brakes.
The front bucket seats are upholstered in tan leather with white stitching, and color-coordinated trim accents the dash, doors, and side panels. Custom embroidery adorns the headrests and the touchscreen infotainment system incorporates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The cabin is further appointed with air conditioning, a folding center console, and 3D MAXpider floor liners.
The tan leather extends to the rear bench, which is situated ahead of the carpeted cargo area and accompanied by three-point seatbelts affixed to the bed-mounted roll bar.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel houses controls for the cruise, voice, and audio systems, and it frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a central digital display with readouts for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and battery voltage. The digital odometer indicates ~900 miles.
The 5.3-liter EcoTec V8 was factory-rated at 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, and it is equipped with an aftermarket air intake.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
